Our Primary School Site

Situated on the parcel of land that hosts the St John Fisher Church, we are excited to be building our primary school campus in the leafy Brisbane suburb of Tarragindi.

It is our privilege to finally establish a Catholic primary school on a site which had been earmarked for this purpose since 1960!

  • Our Plans

For many reasons, our plan is for Newman College to always be a relatively small school. We know just how important a close knit community is for a school's culture, and this is why we will establish our secondary school campus on a separate site in the years ahead. We want Newman College to be a school where families know each other by name.

A classical education is about so much more than the content children are learning, and it should be reflected in the built and natural environment that surrounds them for so many hours a week! Our plans are for a traditional and beautiful campus that reflects both our identity as a classical school and our own unique Australian heritage. We hope to preserve as much green space as we can, with beautiful landscaping and gardens.

We are working closely with our traffic engineers and town planners to plan for ample on-site parking as we grow, as well as easy pick up and drop off for our families.

  • How can you Support our Build?

We want to create a school campus which reflects the Truth, Goodness and Beauty of God and His world, but we need your support to achieve this. With the first stage of our building works relying entirely on the generosity of our donors, your support is essential to building the foundations of our primary school in Tarragindi. Your generosity gives us the capacity to provide a classical Catholic education to generations of future students, forming them in wisdom and virtue as they prepare to contribute to God’s work in the world.

From buying a tree to becoming a monthly donor, there are a number of ways you can support us during the foundational years of our school. Our school building fund has DGR status, which allows any donation to it over $2 to be tax deductible in Australia. Find out more:
